Week three

Three weeks of my stay are over, which means I'm in the middle of my stay. These three weeks were just amazing. I've met many new people and could build up many friendships. The schoollessons are very interessting and funny, even though I and all the other students of my class nearly fall asleep in the afternoon. The teachers can always manage to keep us awake with an interessting lesson.

In the evening there are always very entertaining activities like karaoke or disco. Of course, we often go to the beach talk and relax.

There are so many different nationalities and it's so interessting to talk with them about their countrys and culture, I met people from Spain, Italy, Russia, Hungary, Turkey, Germany, the Canary Islands, Oman, Norway and also some other swiss students, with whom I speak only english. These nationalities are so different, and since I've heard stories from all these countries, I would like to go there or back there because they tell me so many interesting things that make the country attractive or I realize what I've missed when I was there.

Of course we also had two excursions this week. We went to Dover castle and Brighton.

About Dover Castle:

It was very interessting. Dover Castle was very important in the 2nd world war. When many germany surrounded french and english troup on the french territory, they had nowhere to escape to, but Dover Castle. Many hundretthousand soldiars could be rescued.

Nowadays you can visit two tunnels that were used at that time as a hospital and as aliving place for the soldiers. You can still see graffiti that is about 200 years old and you feel as if you yourself would be a soldier.

But there are not only the tunnels. You can also visit the castle. If you go to the very top you have a beautiful view over whole dover.

About Brighton:

We had to drive about 3 hours to Brighton. After arriving there we had a little tour. We saw the pavillon, the Pier and walked through the town. Of course we also did some shopping and just enjoyed the day.

After that we had to drive home for 3 hours again, which was not so much fun.
